  • Cycling: the lovely sloping landscape of the 'Parc Naturel du Morvan' is a paradise for those who like cycling. Thanks to the little traffic, one can freely cycle trough the unspoiled nature. A number of detailed maps is at your disposal in the house. Rentals for bikes at www.okheanos.com.
  • Mountainbiking: The region has the longest mountain bike trails (2.400 km). www.okheanos.com.
  • Quad driving: For those who like motorized sports: (guided) quad rental is possible nearby. www.okheanos.com. Another of their activities is paintball.
  • Sailing, windsurfing & pedalo rental: At 4 km of the property there is the 'Lac de Settons', one of the area 5 lakes. Many watersports can be practiced there: www.flowersway.com.
  • Golf: The 'Château de Chailly' in Pouilly -en-Auxois (70 km) has a 18 hole golf court: www.chailly.com .

Culture

  • Castles: Strong witnesses of Burgundy's rich history are the castles, built by the dukes as a symbol of their wealth: Le Château de Bazoches was once a residence of Vauban the great architect of the fortified cities under Louis XIV (www.château-Bazoches.com). Le château de Ancy-le-Franc, The Abbey of Fontenay (www.abbayedefontenay.com) is world heritage.
  • Cultural-historical: The fortified Gallo-Roman town at the Mont Beuvray (45 km) is certainly worth visiting. From here, Caesar conquered Gaul in the first century after Christ. (www.bibracte.fr)
  • Nature: At 10 km in St-Brisson houses the nature reserve of 'la Maison du Parc'. '(www.parcdumorvan.org)
